About The Project

Over the past few semesters, the Spartanburg Methodist College Tutoring Lab has experienced a decline in tutoring attendance. This was investigated by students in one of the marketing classes at SMC, and their results indicate that two factors need improvement. First, tutoring hours need to be more convenient and accessible. Second, the Lab needs to host an atmosphere where students feel comfortable. The Pioneer Study Nights program aims to address both of these factors by providing later tutoring hours one night a week, as well as fun rewards and incentives for attendance. The goal of this project is to increase tutoring lab attendance by ten percent by the end of the Fall 2021 semester.
